Established in 1964, the Department of Mathematics began with a vision to foster academic excellence and cultivate analytical minds. In 1967, it reached a major milestone by evolving into a full-fledged graduate department—marking its commitment to advanced education and scholarly growth.
The department offers a robust curriculum that blends foundational knowledge with emerging trends in mathematical sciences. Emphasis is placed on:
• Developing strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Cultivating research aptitude
• Fostering holistic academic growth
Over the decades, the department has:
• Produced graduates who have gone on to excel in academia, public service, and industry
• Hosted several seminars, workshops, and guest lectures to enrich academic discourse
• Built a reputation for personalized education and student-centric approaches.
Our alumni contribute meaningfully as College Professors, Scientists, Research Scholars, Bank Officials and Educators in Higher Secondary and Secondary Schools.
Currently, guided by a dedicated team of two permanent and two guest faculty members, the department actively pursues research in Topology, Graph Theory and Linear Algebra.
